FAQ

QuiqNest FAQ

What is QuiqNest?

QuiqNest helps buyers and realtors plan solar before a home purchase or refinance so it never creates closing, title, or resale problems.
We are not a solar company or a lender. We help coordinate Clear-Title Solar™, where solar is owned outright, added safely, and installed after closing.

How is QuiqNest different from traditional solar companies?

Traditional solar companies focus on selling systems after a home is purchased. That often introduces separate loans, UCC-1 liens, and complications later.

QuiqNest works earlier in the transaction. Solar is reviewed before offers or refinancing, structured inside the primary mortgage when applicable, and installed after closing.

This keeps the transaction clean, protects title, and avoids surprises for buyers, sellers, and agents.

What is Clear-Title Solar™?

Clear-Title Solar™ means the solar system is owned outright and does not place a UCC-1 lien on the home.

The system is treated like a permanent home improvement, not a separate financial obligation. This protects resale value and keeps refinancing simple.

What is BrightNest Mortgage™?

BrightNest Mortgage™ is one financing path some buyers use to own solar as part of a home purchase without adding a second loan or UCC-1 lien.It allows solar to be reviewed before closing, owned outright, and installed after closing so the transaction stays clean.

What is QuiqRefi™?

QuiqRefi™ helps homeowners review solar options before refinancing so solar does not create liens, added debt, or future refinancing problems.

Solar is planned safely, owned outright, and structured to protect the home and the refinance.

What is QuiqBoost™?

QuiqBoost™ is a seller incentive option that allows solar to be planned safely without affecting the buyer’s loan, title, or closing timeline.

It helps sellers offer solar value while keeping the transaction clean and avoiding liens, delays, or post-closing complications.

Which states does QuiqNest serve?

QuiqNest currently operates in select states and expands based on lender participation and regulatory alignment.

Availability may vary by location. Buyers and agents can check eligibility during the Solar-Ready™ review.

How much can I save with QuiqNest?

Savings vary by home, location, and system design.

QuiqNest focuses on helping buyers own solar safely as part of the home so it adds long-term value without creating separate debt, liens, or closing issues.

What about the solar tax credit deadline?

The federal residential solar tax credit has sunset and is no longer available for new installations.

QuiqNest does not rely on tax incentives to make solar work. Our focus is on ownership, clean title, and transaction safety so solar can be planned without affecting closing timelines, resale value, or future refinancing.

Any future incentives would be applied only if available and applicable at the time of installation.

Do I need to own my home to use QuiqNest?

No. QuiqNest can be used at different stages of homeownership.

Buyers can review solar before making an offer so it does not affect closing. Homeowners can review solar before refinancing to avoid liens or added debt. Sellers can plan solar safely to support a clean transaction.

In every case, the goal is the same: owned solar, no UCC-1 liens, and no disruption to the transaction.

What if I already have solar panels?

Yes. If a home already has solar, QuiqNest can help review it before a purchase or refinance.

The goal is to identify any liens, ownership issues, or financing structures that could affect closing, resale, or refinancing.

If issues exist, they are identified early so buyers, sellers, and agents can make informed decisions before moving forward.

How long does the QuiqNest process take?

Timing varies based on the transaction, but QuiqNest is designed not to delay closing.

Solar readiness is reviewed early in the process. If solar moves forward, installation happens after closing through escrow holdback.

This keeps the home purchase or refinance on schedule while allowing solar to be added safely afterward.

What makes QuiqNest's solar assessments different?

QuiqNest’s assessments are designed to protect the transaction, not sell solar.

They focus on whether solar can be added safely without affecting closing timelines, title, resale value, or future refinancing.

The review identifies ownership structure, lien risk, and timing considerations early so buyers, sellers, and agents can make informed decisions before moving forward.

Is there a cost to get started with QuiqNest?

No. Getting started with QuiqNest is free.

The initial review helps determine whether solar can be added safely without affecting closing timelines, title, resale value, or future refinancing.

There is no obligation to move forward, and the purpose of the review is to provide clarity before any decisions are made.
